Delegates from the Catholic Archdiocese of Seoul visit the Broadway and Darlinghurst sites.
25th November 2008
The University of Notre Dame Australia, Sydney recently hosted a large delegation from the Catholic Archdiocese of Seoul in South Korea
The group included heads of many Catholic agencies and organisations and a number of senior figures from the Catholic Education Foundation in Seoul.
The purpose of their stay in Sydney was to visit and form relationships with different institutions within the Archdiocese - including parishes, medical centres, schools, and universities.
Whilst at Notre Dame the delegation had tours of both the Darlinghurst and Broadway sites and met with senior members of the Notre Dame staff. The day ended with mass in Sacred Heart Church, Darlinghurst.
Deputy Vice Chancellor and Dean of Philosophy and Theology, Professor Hayden Ramsay, said it was a great honour to welcome the international visitors to the University.
“We already have warm ties with our friends from Seoul. This was a very good opportunity to show what we are doing at Notre Dame and elsewhere, and to develop relationships for the future.”
